We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Building Services Project Manager to oversee a high-profile project at a leading University in Bristol. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the Mechanical Building Services aspect of a complex project where you take responsibility for £30m overseeing 8 staff, ensuring that it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will demonstrate a proven experience in managing Mechanical Building Services schemes on large-scale construction projects circa £20/30m, ideally within the Education sector.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and risk management.
In-depth knowledge of building services systems, with a focus on mechanical engineering.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all mechanical building services activities on-site, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between all parties.
  • Oversee project planning, procurement, and execution, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
  • Monitor project progress, addressing any challenges and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Liaise with the client, stakeholders, and senior management, providing regular updates on project status.
