Due to planned growth and securing several new projects this medium sized Building Services Engineering Consultancy is looking for an additional Mechanical Associate. As an Associate, you'll work closely with their directors and be responsible for leading a range of interesting projects across the UK and abroad. You'll become a key part of a connected and collaborative team comprising MEP Design Engineers, Building Physics Engineers, Revit Technicians, and Sustainability Engineers. Youll help mentor and manage a team of Mechanical Engineers (ranging from Graduate, Intermediate / Engineer, and Seniors) whilst also assisting in driving continuous innovation and best practices across the built environment.
As an early pioneer of using digital tools to improve the design process, BIM is ingrained in their DNA. They produce construction-level 3D models for design coordination and systems verification on most of their projects. However, on the flip side the majority of their staff can still sit with an architect or client and produce engaging concept sketches using a blank piece of paper and pencil.

Essential Requirements:
* 7 years' experience in a Mechanical design Engineer within the built environment.
* Degree qualified and preferably Chartered (CEng, MIET).
* Up-to-date knowledge of British Standards, and CIBSE guidelines, as well as CDM regulations.
* Good leadership skills and the ability to inspire and mentor others.
* Broad range of project experience previous experience seeing projects through from concept to construction.

Intermediate Electrical Engineer - London - To £50K

You'll receive support to develop the ongoing strategy of the delivery of your projects as their MEP team meets up every Monday to discuss future workload and they track resources to ensure that every team member is getting enough support for their projects. As an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer, you'll join help design high-quality, low carbon residential, education, leisure, and commercial buildings. You'll use your excellent communication skills to inform and educate clients and explain technical terms to a non-technical audience in a simple and straightforward manner. You'll also use your previous site experience to ensure that your electrical designs are easy to install, access and inspect in the future, and are properly coordinated with the mechanical systems.

Requirements
M&E Coordinator -> M&E Design Manager
Rare opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established property developer in London and step into an M&E Coordinator / MEP Design Manager role.
You'll collaborate closely with the other members of the Technical Department and Engineering Team and oversee projects through their entire lifecycle. You'll prepare performance specifications, review tender documents, appoint specialist M&E Consultants, review their designs, specifications, and schematics, attend DTM's and monitor projects during key milestones.
Reporting to the Head of Building Services, you'll use your HVAC design skills as you review consultants designs and ensure they meet their inhouse technical standards, best practices, British standards and CIBSE guidelines. You'll also liaise with manufactures on all M&E systems and promote the use of innovative technologies to ensure every design is consistent, cost effective and sustainable.
You'll use your expert HVAC Design skills to ensure the consultants are not overengineering systems and ensure value engineering is at the core of the design process.
As projects progress to site, you'll help monitor the sub-contractor's electrical and mechanical installation progress of works. You'll help identify any technical issues or risks, respond to any RFI's, and keep the Head of Building Services updated with any changes.

You'll work on both UK and international projects and feel good that you are helping define, design and deliver meaningful projects. Projects will include life sciences, commercial offices, schools and universities, healthcare and high-rise mixed use developments.
