  • list Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

Principal Mechanical Engineer - To £80K Package - Data Centres

    Sometimes things just feel right.

And that's exactly the impression I got when I met with the Directors of this global, Data Centre Design Consultancy based in London earlier this week.

As soon as you walk in their brand-new office, everything just feels right.

The warm welcome from the Directors and Associates, the stunning office overlooking Finsbury Circus and the overall office vibe, it all just felt right.

With offices in London, UAE and Europe they have worked hard over the past 10 years to become one of the leading data centre design consultancies. Their order book ranges from 50MW to 500MW hyperscale facilities on behalf of the world's leading colo's, tech and media companies.

Their team in London consists of technically robust and commercially aware engineers. Some have worked for both contractors and consultants; and others have worked for Data Centre end user clients. This puts them in a unique position and clients love the fact these engineers understand how data centres are funded, designed, built as well as how they operate and how they are maintained.

They are looking for an additional Principal Mechanical Design Engineer who wants to have a big impact in the team. Someone who enjoys autonomy, leading projects and liaising with clients. Someone who has a good attention to detail, can manage their own time and wants to really make their mark with the rapidly changing space that is mission critical engineering.

You'll be rewarded with a salary up to £80K, pension, private health insurance, a hybrid policy of two to three days a week in the office, annual bonus and weekly knowledge sharing and collaboration meetings.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer - To £50 p/h

With an order book stretching into mid-2025 this MEP Design Consultancy are now looking for an additional contract Senior Electrical Design Engineer for their London office.

Staff welfare is at the forefront of their values, so it doesn't matter if you receive an hourly rate or an annual salary, you are still considered to be their most valued assets.

Having visited their office earlier today, I was really impressed with the quality of the fit out, the spacious desks, excellent communal facilities, and the buzz that the office had about it. It's modern but not too corporate, busy but not too full on and the staff were all interacting and chatting rather than being glued to a screen.

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be given one or two projects to lead at a time; and be trusted to just get on with what you need to do to keep them moving forward. You'll consult directly with the client and lead projects from RIBA Stages 2 to 4.

You'll be expected to be able to lead projects independently, however when you need help, a second opinion or advice; you can just their Electrical Technical Director.
