MEP Design Manager - To £65K bonus training clear progression
Opportunity seldom knocks twice.
If you are a Mechanical (Building Services) Design Engineer with at least four years' experience in HVAC Design, this is your chance to pivot into a dedicated MEP Design Manager role.
You'll be involved in high-impact projects that benefit society and set new industry standards in design, sustainability and innovation.
Rather than just developing the properties and then passing them on, this property developer and investor takes a long-term view. They purchase, develop, build, operate and maintain all of the buildings within their portfolio and take pride in the quality of all of their developments.
How they will support you
Fully supported by a hands-on, technically superb and commercially aware, Senior MEP Manager you'll enjoy a fast-paced, challenging and diverse role.
This Senior MEP Design Manager also switched from a career in building services consultancy to a developer and will be there every step of the way to ensure your learning is fast tracked. They will pass on all their experience and lessons learnt; to ensure your transition from consultancy to property developer will be seamless.
What a typical day will look like
You'll use your HVAC design skills to review and approve external consultants designs and oversee projects from RIBA Stage 2 to Stage 7. You'll be responsible for managing specialist subcontractors, managing the design team and overseeing the commissioning process of the installed MEP services.
Rather than just HVAC design, here you'll prepare specifications, approve technical drawings, carry out value engineering proposals of consultant's designs, carry out tender analysis and maintain relationships with manufacturers and external consultants.
You'll split your time across multiple different landmark London developments such as hotels, commercial offices, retail stores, prime residential developments and leisure facilities.
You'll attend these projects regularly (all in central London) and flag up any risks or potential delays to the Senior MEP Design Manager; and ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
A bit a about the client.
Established 20 years ago, this privately owned Property Development company has redeveloped some of London's most iconic buildings. They remain focussed on regenerating and decarbonising entire portfolios of buildings to benefit the communities that surround these developments.
